How I Relax : ASMR

Besides taking a hot bath and drinking chamomile tea (which in my opinion taste gross, but it does calm me), there is this one foolproof method that I and many other had discover to get the ultimate relaxation. It is called ASMR. Autonomous sensory meridian response. How I would describe it the way I've been experience it is a damn good feeling in the brain. Some people call it brain massage. Sometimes I get tingles in the head or any other parts of the body.

You can try to google it and get a more detailed elaboration about it or just search the video on youtube and start to experience it. There are so many asmr videos in youtube now. Now it does seem like a weird part of youtube when you first start watching it, but trust me once you start feel the relaxation you're hooked! I've managed to get my sisters to watching asmr and now all of us have a routine of watching asmr before bed.

ASMR worked both ways for me. It can help me sleep when I have trouble sleeping or insomnia and it can also gives me some energy when I'm feeling sluggish.

The ASMRtist is very good at making sounds and hand gestures to give us a relaxing feeling. It's like the good feeling you get when someone plays with your hair or draw on your back when you were little. My favourite ASMR channels are:

1.) Whispersunicorn - I think she has the best voice and technique especially her Spa roleplay, haircut and shave roleplay.

2.) Gentlewhispering - Been called as Queen of ASMR for a reason. She is the most popular among the ASMR community.

3.) MassageAsmr - The only guy ASMRtist that I watched. I like his scalp massage and headache roleplay. Puts me at ease in the office previously.

Penang Day 2 : Hin Bus Depot Art Centre Adventure

Friday, 17th April 2015

Today we had a full day to explore since I'm going back to KL on Sunday and my sis start working on Saturday. I want to start the day early because I want to go to the beach at Batu Feringghi before sunset. That didn't happen as we got out of the house around 1.30pm and went straight to Queensbay. Had lunch there, walk around and bought some groceries. At around 4.45 pm only we got out of Queensbay. We already planned to go to Hin Bus Depot and have coffee at the coffeeshop there. So we thought we can make it to Batu Feringghi if we leave around 6.30pm. Nope.

We finally arrived at Hin Bus Depot Art Centre, No.31 Jalan Gurdwara, Georgetown.
But first coffee. By that time I am in need of caffeine fix.

We went to the Bricklin Cafe located at the Hin Bus Depot Art Centre

The atmosphere was really nice. They played The Coffeehouse playlist from Spotify so it's really chill in here.

I ordered Cold Brew (RM 12.00) as per the waiter suggestion, my sister ordered a Super Fruit Tea (RM 9) and we shared a baked cheese cake (RM 10)

The coffee was too strong and bitter for my liking and the fruit tea was pretty much tasteless and the cheesecake was average at best.

LOVE the decor in here.

Overall the cafe is nice and a good place to chill but the coffee and cakes are nothing to hype about. The cafe is also not too crowded when we went there which is good.

Then we went to see the art.

Artsy fartsy looking "chamber pot"

Even the toilet door is interesting.

We check out the wall mural outside first.

The two boys with the cone mural.

The acrobat mural. It looked so cool as background to take photos.

There're people who sell furniture which they had modified and added their artsy touch.

Then we went inside to check out the art. The setting is so cool.

Even the floor is so instagram-able #ihavethisthingwithfloors

And then it's time to leave. We spent so much time in here that I'm afraid we're going to miss the sunset at Batu Feringghi.

Posing against Komtar

Hittin the road.

Love how the old shop lot look.

I just had to take a picture of this mural when the traffic light is red. So so pretty. Can't remember what road though.

As we were on our way to Batu Feringghi it is already 7pm. Both of us don't know any shortcuts and by the time we're at Convent Green lane area the traffic was congested. I thought sunset at Batu Feringghi was a lost cause that day so I told my sister to turn back. We watched the sunset overlooking the Penang bridge instead. It's not so bad, it was actually quite nice.

Kinda a nice way to end the day.
Then we had dinner at Kapitan of course. I just can't bring myself to any other restaurant if my trip to Penang is short. hehe. Til then. xoxo

An 'Unexpected' Journey, KL-Penang

Thursday, 16th April 2015

My lil sis, Motiyyah said she's going back to Penang today after only arriving in KL yesterday(15/4/2015) from Terengganu because of this whole Uni transferring thing she's doing. She's planning to go back with baba because Kak Dira, who cleans and take care of the house will be away to Indonesia for one month so there's no one to look after the cats at my Penang home. Earlier that day I was helping her moving her stuff to eldest sis, Zeila's house and was all sweaty and yucky.

Long story short, baba change his mind about going back and ask me to accompany Motiyyah to Penang instead. I finally agree because I haven't been back since January. I thougt I stayed for a few days since Motiyyah is working for the whole 2 weeks she's staying here. I packed as lightly as I could and I did'nt even change my yucky clothes and we hit the road.

We start the journey around 4.40pm and arrived at 8.15pm ish.

The road along Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan has some pretty amazing view.

And then it rained really heavily.

 Unflattering car selfie.

The wonderful colourful sunset along the way.

And by the time we arrived we were starving!..we only stopped at Simpang Pulai and ate sausage and chips. We stopped home first because I just need to change my clothes and freshen up my gross face. So of course we had dinner at Kapitan Queensbay which in my opinion has the best food.

I ordered Chicken Milani Beriyani which is soo yummy. It has this really delicious turmeric buttery sauce. And they're pretty generous with the serving.

After that we returned home and search for the cats. They're not at home :(
Til tommorrow.

Lazada Haul

This is my first time buying stuff from Lazada and I've gotta say it's a pretty good first experience. I chose four items but they cancel one item because of some problem. It was a lip tint by etude house. But it's all good, the customer service quickly inform me about the unavailability and said to handle the refund. He was very professional. I paid using the ipay88 method and it was fairly easy but they also have COD.

It's been too long that I browse stuff on Lazada and put items on my wishlist, items that you can't really find at your local mall and the price was too good to pass. Then one day I was feeling meh so I bought some of it because it feels good hahaha.

I ordered it on Thursday 9th April 2015 and I received the UD Naked Basics yesterday (Friday 10th Apr 2015) and the rest I received this morning 11th Apr 2015. However, it came separately eventhough I order in one order. It's probably because of the different supplier. The delivery was fast and that's what's important because when I order something online, I want it pronto!..hahaha.

1.) OEM Urban Decay Naked Basics - RM16.90

This look legit from the outside. It's an OEM China product. I have always wanted the UD Naked Basics because of its simplicity and wearable colours but the original one is too damn expensive for 5 normal shadows. I'm not impressed with this dupe because the colour payoff is really poor. I was hoping the colour "Faint" would be deeper and darker but it's too light. The matte black "Crave" is pretty good though. But for RM16.90 I can't really complain. It's such a bargain!..I've checked on the website and apparently it's now RM14.80
Get it here

2.) Mini Handheld Sewing Machine - RM19.90

When I got this item, the red plastic thingy was dismantled from the body but luckily I can easily click it back. Seems like it has a rough delivery. I got this because I thought I'd do some DIYs. It's like a stapler kind of sewing machine so it's easy to travel with. I'm not particularly keen on the red colour. I'm still learning on how this works but hopefully it's good.
Get it here

3.) Revoflex Extreme RM33.00

This has to be my favourite item that I ordered. For RM33.00 it is such a good deal and I like the lime green colour. It's an exercise tool to work your body and there are plenty of moves you can do with this thing. I want to work out more at home and this will motivate me now haha. It comes with a bright green bag that I find useful.

Everything I order including the Etude house liptint was RM 76.40 so delivery was free (order above RM 75.00 for free delivery). But after they cancel the liptint and my order price is below RM 75.00, they didn't charge for delivery so everything's good.
